the hotel is quite outdated and needs renovations. Although the hotel is close to several museums and the nearest restaurant, it is a bit far from the town center. the room was spacious but the air circulation was inadequate, making it difficult to sleep. the meals were quite good, especially the breakfast buffet with a mix of Japanese and Western options. the onsen was quite enjoyable and provided beautiful lake views.
The hotel lacked non-smoking rooms and even when we asked to switch, the alternative room was still filled with cigarette smoke.

Had a great weekend getaway! the spa facilities were really good with refreshing Kose face lotion & moisturizer. the spacious rooms, especially the private seats in the Japanese style layout, was a relaxing area. Location, with the easy, to, find hotel via Google maps, meant that we enjoyed the indoor and outdoor hot spas. Free shuttles to the city and railway station were also offred.
Personally, the language barrier may have been a hindrance for other travelers like us, with limited English spoken. For those who prefer an English, speaking reception, the wording might be the only disadvantage experienced.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel has spacious rooms with lake views and traditional seating. The hotel facilities are great, including a great spa with indoor and outdoor hot springs. The hotel also provides great amenities like hairdryer, shower cap, and moisturizer. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located perfectly in proximity to several attractions such as a frozen lake, museums, and other major attractions.
Nothing it is perfect.
